I have been at our college since 1989.  Having lived in the area most of my life, I am married and have two adult children.  My bachelor and masters' degrees are in economics.  My doctorate involved studying business management and theology, earned appropriately in mid-career.  I have been employed by business firms - working in finance, economic research, strategic planning and marketing.  During those years, I also worked evenings as an adjunct instructor at several colleges. I stay current by writing articles and books and working occasionally as a consultantI especially enjoy helping students learn a body of knowledge and a way of thinking useful for solving problems, managing enterprises, and participating as a citizen.  My favorite nickname from students is 'Coach', which is also a metaphor for my style of enthusiastically exhorting them toward achieving their personal goals.
